How do we understand displacement across time and distance? Traces showcases Garon’s work with mined rock cores to explore humanity’s interruption of nature. Abstract formations made from natural resources like extracted rocks, wild clay, and steel resonate complex historical, cultural, and scientific themes of claim and permanence. Through Garon’s artworks, materials transform into relics that harness power for future decisions about land preservation.
